WELCOME
Perhaps you're down or anxious, unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. There are times when examining our thoughts, behaviors, and histories become essential in understanding who we are and who we are becoming. Whatever brings you to counseling, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. ABOUT ME
Kelly Kit, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with adolescents and adults. Since 2010, I have been providing individual, group, and family therapy. I take a strength's based approach to therapy by utilizing insight-based therapy, along with cognitive-behavioral techniques to promote growth in clients. I use an integrative style in sessions, in order to meet each client's needs. I specialize in using solution-focused, multicultural, attachment-based/Internal Family Systems (IFS), and client-centered therapies. I especially enjoy working with professional women, mothers, college students, and diverse populations, including people of color and the LGBTQ community.
Education and Training
I received my B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University. I went on to obtain my master's and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. I completed an APA-accredited internship at the Florida State University's Counseling Center. Additionally, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
